Privacy information

How QR input, browser processing and website requests are handled.

QR content stays in your browser

The free generator processes entered addresses, text, Wi-Fi details, email fields and uploaded logos in the browser. It does not send those values to a QR storage server or retain creation history. Input is held in page memory, not in cookies, localStorage or IndexedDB. Reloading, leaving or changing language clears that page state.

Downloads and shared data

You choose where downloaded files are saved. Anyone with a QR image may read its contents, including a Wi-Fi password. Avoid entering secrets or sharing codes containing sensitive information. We cannot recover previous inputs or downloaded files from a server archive.

Website hosting

Cloudflare hosts the website. Serving and protecting the site can involve request information such as IP address, browser details and access time, and security-related cookies where used by the provider. This is different from storing the information you type into the generator. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for its processing details.

Website visits and performance

QRmaru uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand site usage and improve speed. Cloudflare processes metrics such as visited pages, referral sources, country, device and browser type, page loading times and Core Web Vitals, and presents them as statistics. This does not record QR creation history or count scans of generated QR codes. QR input URLs, text, Wi-Fi passwords, email content and logos are not included in analytics events. See the Cloudflare data collection and privacy information linked below. Browser content blockers can block the analytics script; QR creation still works when it is blocked. Hosting and security request processing is separate.

Advertising and measurement

Advertising is currently disabled. Website analytics is separate from AdSense ownership verification and review. If Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or other websites. Google advertising cookies allow Google and its partners to personalize ads based on those visits. Cookies, IP addresses, web beacons or similar identifiers may also be used for delivery and measurement. You can manage personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center, linked below. Before enabling ads, we will update the information about providers and applicable consent, refusal and change options. This page does not itself grant advertising consent.

Your choices and future changes

Browser settings can control cookies. Google’s advertising settings explain personalization choices, and its partner-sites policy explains advertising data use. Future paid short-link or analytics services will require separate information about data processing. Check this page when features change.

Language preference

On the default home page, your saved language takes priority over your browser language. Only a language you explicitly select is stored in this browser’s localStorage, until you clear site data. QR content and logos are not stored. Direct language-specific links keep their language. If storage is blocked, your choice may not persist. Unsupported browser languages fall back to English; Chinese uses Taiwan Traditional Chinese, or Hong Kong Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong and Macao.
